What to expect?
In this webinar, you will learn in two presentations what contribution AI technologies can make to the autonomous operation of trams and the maintenance of railway infrastructure.
Hitachi Rail GTS Italia – a member of DITECFER – is a leader in tramway signalling solutions and is actively developing autonomous tram technology to enhance urban mobility. The presentation focuses on smart positioning and obstacle detection, key components enabling safe and efficient autonomous operations. It highlights the challenges of ensuring highly reliable perception and localisation in complex urban environments. These innovations contribute to a more resilient and intelligent tram autonomy ecosystem.
RAILwAI – a member of i-Trans – will present an AI based solution for the predictive and data-driven maintenance of rail infrastructure that aims to improve infrastructure availability by 30% while simultaneously reducing maintenance costs by 15%.
Both presentations are based on the applications of the two companies Hitachi Rail GTS Italia and RAILwAI for the ERCI Innovation Awards 2024.
