Initiative for career orientation for international researchers in the natural sciences
The JobMarket Event 2025 takes place as part of the "workhier!" programme, a joint initiative* for career orientation for international researchers in the natural sciences. Over five months, 20 highly qualified doctoral candidates and postdocs were intensively prepared for their career path outside of academia – with a focus on career planning, self-reflection, and entry into industry. Additionally, other talents from the Campus Club network are invited – including researchers from Berlin universities and non-university research institutions.
In total, up to 70 participants from forward-looking fields such as green energy, environmental and chemical technology, health and medicine, optics and photonics, ICT, and research-related consulting are expected. Berlin Partner supports this program content-wise and now wants to win you as employers for this career format.

What to expect
As a company, you have the opportunity to engage with highly motivated, well-prepared early-career researchers, present your open positions and innovation projects, build long-term contacts with potential employees, and gain new impulses for your personnel and innovation development. The event is divided into two parts:
- 13:00–14:00 – 1:1 Exchange with "workhier!" Participants - In short, informal conversations, you will exchange ideas with participants whose interests match your company's field. The goal is not classic matching, but mutual exchange about career paths, expectations, and points of connection.
- 14:00–16:30 – Open Networking & Company Presentations - Afterwards, the event opens up to all guests. You will have the opportunity to present your company at an information table, give a short pitch (1 minute), and specifically connect with early-career researchers from Berlin's research and innovation landscape.
What you bring as a company
Participation is straightforward – with minimal effort for you but great potential for valuable new contacts:
- Representation of your company by 1–2 contact persons on site
- Participation in the 1:1 conversations (optional)
- Supervision of an information table for discussions & informational material
- A company slide for the 1-minute pitch
- Short company profile (max. 500 characters) & logo for communication
