Design the Future, Hack the Waste
On 18 May 2026, the European Railway Clusters Initiative (ERCI) and the European Lightweight Clusters Alliance (ELCA) officially launched the Call for Challenges for the ERVI/ELCA Joint Hack&Match Event on the topic “Design the Future, Hack the Waste: The Full-Lifecycle Mobility Challenge”. From visionary eco-design to the gritty realities of end-of-life recovery, we are tackling the sector’s toughest bottlenecks. Join the mission to rethink, reuse, remanufacture, and recycle the entire value chain, conquering the complex challenges of plastics, advanced composites, batteries and others.
Call for Challenges open until 12 June 2026
We invite SMEs, start-ups, Mid-Caps and Large Companies to submit their challenges and innovation needs through the following form: https://forms.gle/CzGLqp2bS34xAkfr9. The deadline for applications is 12 June 2026.
After that, a “Call for Solutions” will follow, which is intended to outline possible answers to the submitted challenges. It will take place from 15 June to 10 July 2026.
Online Hack&Match Event on 21-22 July 2026
The Hack&Match event will take place online on 21–22 July 2026 and will connect Challenge Providers with Solution Providers (tech-savvy SMEs, researchers and technology experts) from across Europe to co-develop innovative solutions based on advanced technologies.
