Four Berlin-based startups have successfully completed the first stage of the European Startup Prize for Mobility: AVO Mobility, citkar, RYDES and THEO UG have been voted among the top 50 by the top-class international jury - from a total of 563 startups from 38 countries.
The jury will now conduct in-depth interviews with all 50 in order to select this year's top 10 winners as well as the laureates of the 10 special prize categories. Those will be invited to pitch live at the award closing ceremony on March 28th.
In the last edition of the award, the Berlin-Brandenburg start-ups Surve Mobility and MOTIONTAG made it into the final top 10 in Europe.
About EUSP
The European Startup Prize for mobility (EUSP) is an EU-founded acceleration and investment programme for sustainable mobility startups. It was created in 2017 by Karima Delli, Chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism, Boston Consulting Group and Via ID and is currently running its 4th edition.
Established in collaboration with all major EU institutions (European Parliament, European Commission, European Investment Bank, EIT InnoEnergy, GSA, SESAR, Shift2Rail) and together with major mobility corporations and tech giants, this public-private initiative aims to support and scale up smart and sustainable mobility startups all across Europe.
Each year, around 600 startups from all over Europe apply to its Acceleration and Investment programme.
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology is partner of the EUSP.
