What to expect?
Pinpoint develops and markets indoor GPS systems for smartphones and IoT devices to enable navigation and location-based service as well as spatial awareness in buildings. DB Systel is paving the way for the digital future of the railway system and its valuable contribution to people and our environment.
The presentations describe how a navigation system for blind individuals was implemented in train stations. It focuses on the specific needs of blind users, the types of data required within a station, and the use of ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for smartphone-based positioning. Key aspects of the development and integration process are also highlighted.
